Creole classics, then the Gumbo Shop: Traditional and Contemporary
Creole Cuisine will be a welcome addition to your kitchen library.
Organized by Richard Stewart, president and executive chef of
the Gumbo Shop, this cook book is full of the traditional dishes
and drinks you love: gumbos (of course!), red beans and rice,
jambalaya, turtle soup, remoulade sauces, shrimp Creole, etouffees,
bread pudding with whiskey sauce, cafe brulot and the Sazerac
cocktail. The recipes are easy to follow, with most dishes illustrated
by a color photograph. - St. Charles Avenue Book
